I won the FIRST PLACE at the Amatuer singing contest in our Town when I was 16years old and the song that I sing is this song "THE LUCKY ONE"! I remember that night I am the only one who sing a disco song because usually in the singing contest they always sing a ballad and standard songs. I was really confused that night because I don't know how the people and the judges may react about my disco song "THE LUCKY ONE", and I thought they wouldn't like it but I was mistaken, no matter the song is a disco or a ballad song the most important is the feeling of how you can express to the audience the meaning of your song.
Like Laura Branigan I am THE LUCKY ONE too!!!

Gloria Gaynor was a singer with the Soul Satisfiers, a Jazz and POP Band in 1960's. This song "I WILL SURVIVE" is become my No.1 favorite revival disco song when I was in Nagoya City Japan a years ago. I first heard this song when we go watch a LIVE BAND SHOW playing with the Philippine Female Band named VENUS at Sakae Nagoya City. I will never forget that Live band show because the Venus Band is a very good performer.
Untill now I can't resist myself not to sing I WILL SURVIVE everytime I'm on the stage.

I always watch Kiyoshi Maekawa's variety show title "FURUSATO KAZOKU" at NHK Channel. Kiyoshi Maekawa is not only a good singer but also an actor and a good comedian too. I like Kiyoshi Maekawa style when he was in the stage singing very seriously, stand straight and with feelings coming with his heart.
"NAGASAKIWA KIYOMO AME DATTA" is his debut record and he became popular by this Enka Song.

At that time I cannot sing a song Enka, but when I heard the song Tsugarukaikyo fuyugeshiki and Amagigoe I begin to like to sing the songs Enka. The meaning of the song Amagigoe and Tsugarukaikyo fuyugeshiki is so deeply and very meaningful. That is why I always love to sing this song because it is a challenge for me.
